  Reel to reel tapes and old Watchtower literature

  it's been an emotional few weeks going through old watchtower literature, i mean old.

  i have saved many things, some you have never seen.

  particularly related to 1975, i have wts literature, even a big newspaper article about the 1975 prediction.. today, i started going through the reel to reel tapes.

  I have an old tape somewhere from dad given him by a cousin. When I played it it was a meeting of apostates in Nebraska in the 50s. My family has roots back to Russell. Too bad it doesnt even give bragging rights or a line on the " truth"

  They just played the natural disaster video, complete with the donating part. Then made the comment that if we need help go to the " secular authorities ".

  We are supposed to report any symptoms ??? Is this catchy over zoom? The local herbalist sister is possibly the only help if you mistrust the doctors .

  Remember doing rooming work? Asking for accomodations from strangers for strangers. I still cringe.

  Dad and Mom would have out of town friends stay with us the few times we were blessed with a local convention instead of having to travel. 3 extra families, all with kids, one bathroom. Cots in the living room, yard, blankets on the floor.

  Dutch judge rules that elders are not entitled to hide behind clergy-penitent privilege

  today a dutch judge ruled that jw elders and the jw branch cannot invoke clergy-penitent privilege when it comes to information used in a judicial committee.. jw had filed a complaint with the courts because the branch office, two kingdom halls and a few elders' homes were raided by police almost 2 years ago in search of evidence related to child abuse issues.. jw argued that the information that was taken by police is protected by clergy-penitent privilege.

  today the judge ruled that 1) an organization doesn't haven't such a privilege, 2) jw elders don't always act as spiritual counselors.

  their actions as judges in judicial committees aren't protected by privilege, and 3) conversations jw have with their elders are often not confidential at all (as per jw policy) so jw elders can't rightfully invoke clergy-penitent privilege to maintain absolute confidentiality, because there isn't absolute confidentiality in the first place.. jw are thinking about appealing the verdict..

  8 days. Ghetto stadium, people living in houses with no roofs. One murder. Several rapes. And camping.

  Different one, 90% humidity, 100 degrees. The AC did work, and it was about60 to 65 inside. And I got chewed out for being a playboy; friends daughter was 14, looked 20, wife was 25, looked 16, and i got told i should be volunteering instead of flirting.

  Coliseums, ball parks, fair grounds. Rain, hail, wind. And I thought it was right.

  Remember driving cross country with a WT in the window? Laying in back if a station wagon because there weren't enough seats

  San Fan, and LA make hotels take homeless and give them free Marijuana and Methadone and food.

  so the liberals in all their intelligence or lack of it, have put the homeless up in hotels and are set to force hotels to take them in while giving them free drugs and food.

  all they are doing is reinforcing bad behavior.

  liberals destroy and conservatives have to clean up the mess.

  i was a witness from grade school ( 1976) until 2007. i seem to remember an important aspect that was always talked about at the hall as being a fact.they would say that "the rocks themselves would cry out" if the public preaching work was to stop,,,,, all i've seen and heard these past few months are the witnesses complaining about the witnessing work coming to a halt.but i've not heard one rock crying .. .

  That's the standard letter no tracts because they costs too much. It should have had a name or initials in the return.

  What Do You Think Of Fining People For Not Wearing A Mask?

  some towns in massachusetts are fining people 1000 dollars for not wearing a mask 😷 outdoors.

  starting wednesday, the governor mandates everyone from 2 years of age up, must wear a mask or get a 300 dollar fine!.

  of course some governors are recommending that you rat out anyone that doesn’t follow their orders.. i don’t like it!👎🏿.

  Just on tv that a bandana is 15% effective. The N95 is ( wait for it) 95%, depending on particle size.

  I am still advising a 99.9 one that will still allow facial recognition, but people will lump me in with Trump when some lowbrow does it.

  Are Ex-JW's Suffering From Burn Out?

  the reason that i ask is, in the two years on this forum and you tube, i've seen ex-jw's either drop off entirely or make fewer and fewer videos.

  i know the emotional toll can be high.

  is that the sole reason, or is it cost (video) or do you think it's external pressure (legal or family)?

  There is never going to be a reformed JW organization. That is what some were hopibg for. When they were wrong they were still right. Later they will blame us for thinking they were wrong, the rest will be disappointed again by new light
